Great addition — that really shows your heart behind the work and makes your brand feel more personal. I’ve woven it into the flow so it emphasizes your passion for creativity as the driving force of your rebuild:
How I Rebuilt My Brand (After Too Many Second Chances)
In the beginning, my insecurities got the best of me. I wanted so badly to build something meaningful, but I was caught up in doubt and fear. For years, I chased the dream of creating a brand that truly felt like me. I’ve started, stopped, rebranded, and tried again more times than I can count. Along the way, I made mistakes — big ones.
I used to ask for constant reassurance, join groups for advice, and seek out coaches hoping someone could give me the perfect answer. The truth is, I didn’t always take the advice I was given. I was stuck in a cycle of overthinking and second-guessing myself. Looking back, I can admit it: I was the problem.
But here’s the thing — mistakes don’t have to be the end of your story. They can be the start of a new chapter.
Losing Everything
Before Abby’s Creative Escape existed, I ran a brand called Purelifephotoss. I was self-taught, passionate, and just trying to find my place in the online art world. When I discovered print-on-demand, I jumped in headfirst. It felt like the perfect way to share my work with the world.
For years, I opened shops on Redbubble, TeePublic, Society6, and other marketplaces, thinking it was the “easy path”: upload art, sell it on mugs and tees, and watch orders roll in.
But that’s not what happened. My Instagram got reported. My shops lost visibility. Platforms banned me. Years of work I’d poured my heart into… gone.
It wasn’t just a business loss. It felt personal. My anxiety spiked, and I felt like I wasn’t enough. In my frustration, I stepped away from creating entirely.
What’s Changed
This time, I’m approaching my brand with fresh eyes and a new mindset — after six years of revisions, rebrands, and endless questions, I’m finally happy with what I’ve built:
Done chasing perfection. I’m focusing on progress and sharing my journey as it unfolds.
Leading with honesty. My brand is rooted in transparency — not just the “pretty parts,” but the lessons learned too.
Building slowly and intentionally. No more rushing to do it all. I’m choosing products, content, and projects that truly fit my mission and values.
And most importantly — this brand has become my passion project. I love being creative no matter what form it takes: digital art, photography, DIY crafts. Creating fills me with energy, and this space finally gives me the freedom to bring all of that together.
How I Rebuilt
After years of insecurity, false starts, and second-guessing myself, I finally started building my brand — and myself — with purpose:
New name, same mission. Abby’s Creative Escape reflects my love for pets, rescue, and mental health — and I’m sticking with it.
Consistency over perfection. I stopped reinventing everything every few months and started showing up steadily.
Stronger designs. Practice + patience = better art, better confidence, better me.
Blogging my truth. Writing about my journey helped me connect honestly — not just seek approval.
Mental health first. I stopped forcing creativity when I was drained. Rest is now part of the process.
Why I Won’t Quit
Every time I’ve stumbled, I’ve learned something valuable — about business, about creativity, and most of all, about myself. Reinventing my brand isn’t about pretending the past never happened. It’s about showing that growth is possible, that second (and third, and fourth) chances are worth taking, and that persistence pays off.
What You Can Expect From Me
I want my space to feel like a community, not just a shop. A place where people can find comfort, motivation, and a reminder that we don’t have to have it all figured out to keep going.
Anxiety-safe gifts & prints — thoughtful, not overwhelming.
Pet-lover merch — for humans and their furry companions who heal each other.
Honest blog posts — about burnout, balance, and rebuilding after setbacks.
Behind-the-scenes transparency — because trust matters more than perfection.
If you’ve ever felt like you’ve failed too many times to try again — I’m living proof that you can always begin again.
✨ This is my fresh start, and I’m inviting you to be part of it. Thank you for giving me another chance to share my passion, my story, and my heart with you.
